What to look for when you hand over and receive a vehicle during car transportation?

Pickup inspection. You have agreed on the time and place. The driver drove up to pick up the car. What should you do?


  1. Almost no one uses paper car inspection reports anymore. A convenient and widely used application in car hauling is called Super Dispatch. It is used to fix damages in photos and for the required text marks. They form a pickup inspection report. It is signed by both the driver receiving the car and the customer.

  2. If the car has features such as the ignition system, gearshift, and others, inform the driver before starting the inspection. Make sure he remembers everything or writes it down. 

  3. Fix the mileage. It happens that a truck with a trailer cannot drive directly to the house because the streets are narrow and full of parked cars. Because of this, the driver leaves the truck a few minutes from your home or another pickup point. Accordingly, the vehicle will need to be taken to him. Keep this in mind. But if the mileage has changed by more than a few miles upon arrival, this is an excuse to ask the driver a question and examine the car more closely.

  4. Inspect the car together with the driver for damages. Point out those scratches, dents, and other defects you know, and then let the driver fully inspect the vehicle. Perhaps he will find something that you did not notice yourself before. All defects must be fixed in the application.

  5. During the inspection, the driver pays attention to all car parts. It is not limited only to the general body inspection. The wheels, rims, rear-view mirrors, windshield, lower parts of the bumpers (Usually scratches you did not suspect), and the roof are also necessary. The car is inspected from the inside, and everything is fixed similarly. 

  6. After the joint inspection, the driver will give you the phone to sign the inspection result through the application. Sign in and ask him to send the report to your email.

  7. You can follow the process if you have a "non-standard car" and are worried about loading it. It will be a win-win situation because loading and unloading are separate art forms, and extra eyes are reasonable.

  • Ask the driver if everything is car shipping and if there were any problems during the delivery of the car

  • Inspect the car from the outside. Slow circle around it and carefully inspect all the parts

  • Start the car, inspect the interior, and check the mileage.

  • If everything is ok, sign the delivery inspection in the application and ask to send the report to your email.
